Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is Richard Solár, Slovakia.

To ask about your data, email mail@richard.solar.

What data I collect

When you send the contact form, I receive:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • the services you select
  • the text of your message

Why I use it

I use this data only to reply to your message and to discuss a possible project with you. The legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Sending the form is voluntary, but without an email address I cannot reply.

My hosting provider records technical data such as IP addresses in server logs, and counts page views without cookies, to keep the website secure and running. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who processes it for me

I use these service providers. They process data only on my instructions:

  • Vercel Inc. — website hosting and page view statistics
  • Resend — delivery of contact form messages by email
  • Apple iCloud Mail — my email inbox

Transfers outside the EU

These providers may process data in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer relies on safeguards required by the GDPR, such as EU standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long I keep it

I keep messages for as long as I need them to handle your request, and at most 2 years after our last contact. If a contract follows, I keep the data for as long as the law requires, for example for accounting.

Cookies and third-party content

This website sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. There is no automated decision-making or profiling. Fonts are served from this website, not from third parties.

The lofi radio loads from YouTube only after you press play; YouTube then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. The resume badges load from img.shields.io, which also receives your IP address. Your theme and easter egg progress are stored only in your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data
  • have it corrected
  • have it deleted
  • restrict its processing
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • receive your data in a portable format
  • file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk
